With the increase in protracted humanitarian crises, there is a growing need for more efficient international cooperation between humanitarian, development and peace policy instruments. This study explores the experiences of displacement, return and reintegration among South Sudanese refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). The study identifies a number of challenges that hamper return, such as floods, droughts and insecurity. Finally, it provides a set of recommendations on the design of policies and programmes that can facilitate potential return of South Sudanese IDPs and refugees and promote durable solutions. Download
