This memorandum addresses a cross-cutting theme from the World Bank Sudan workshop: the information environment in Sudan. It outlines the need for an improved base of economic and socio-political knowledge, one that would be available to donors and implementing agencies, to governing authorities in north and south Sudan and to the Sudanese public.
