What we do

The Conflict Sensitivity Resource Facility (CSRF) supports humanitarian and development actors in South Sudan by providing research, analysis and practical guidance on conflict-sensitive programming. We work with NGOs, UN agencies and donors – offering tailored training, mentoring and convening platforms to strengthen their ability to minimise harm and maximise peacebuilding impacts. Through county profiles, workshops and coordination forums, we help partners integrate conflict sensitivity into planning, implementation and policy decisions in fragile contexts.

Research and analysis

The CSRF produces high-quality research and analysis related to conflict sensitivity in South Sudan, which you can find in our research repository. We also publish county profiles, detailing the specific conflict issues affecting those counties, and every month we send out a research update by email.

Outreach and convening

In outreach and convening, the CSRF organises learning workshops, roundtable discussions and brown bags on critical thematic issues. We also actively seek space in the cluster meetings to provide conflict sensitivity advice and improve aid coherence.

Our conflict sensitivity approach seeks to maximise the positive impacts of humanitarian and development initiatives for peace, whilst minimising the negative impacts of aid in South Sudan.
