This is the first Interim Country Strategy Paper (I-CSP) for the Republic of South Sudan (RoSS) for the period 2012-2014, following the country’s independence on 9 July 2011 and its subsequent official admission as member of the Bank Group on 1 June 2012 in Arusha. It will cover both the ADF-12 (2011-13) and partially the ADF-13 (2014-16) cycles. The 2012-2014 I-CSP is the Bank’s medium term strategy that seeks to assist the government in addressing the new country’s challenges in a coordinated and consultative manner. It defines broad strategic priorities for the period covered and is aligned with the first South Sudan National Development Plan (SS DP) 2011-2013.
