This article discusses the role that the South Sudanese diaspora in Kenya play in peacebuilding in South Sudan. The article identifies several strategies that the South Sudanese living in its neighbouring country use to promote peacebuilding, including diaspora diplomacy, negotiation initiatives, and mobilisation of women, among others. To consolidate peace in the country, the article recommends the integration of diaspora contributions in post-conflict reconstruction and enhancing research on gender and youth diaspora peacebuilding initiatives.
