The art(s) of conflict disruption in South Sudan

Through an ethnographic study, this paper explores how the use of arts can disrupt conflict in a context marred by ongoing violence in South Sudan. The paper finds that artistic practices help disrupt conflict through highlighting the justice needs and hopes among conflict-affected communities.  Finally, the paper outlines the risks involved in using artist practices to disrupt conflict and suggests the need to consider risk mitigation factors.
